Drop-In Builds

Which red dots fit a Springfield Hellcat?

Every Hellcat and Hellcat Pro OSP has an optic cut in the slide. It is made for the Shield RMSc footprint, which a lot of micro red dots share, but not all of them.

The Short Answer

  • The OSP cut takes Shield RMSc-footprint dots directly, such as the Shield RMSc and the Sig RomeoZero Elite. No plate needed.
  • Holosun K optics like the 407K, 507K and EPS Carry need an adapter plate on the factory OSP cut.
  • The Apex Hellcat slide is cut for Holosun K optics directly, and takes Shield RMSc optics too.
  • The 3" Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro OSP models we list have the same cut, so a dot that fits one fits the other.
  • Factory sights sit below the dot. Optic-height sights co-witness through it.
